The next event, BUTTON MAKING, will be Saturday, February 4, from 11am-4pm. We will turn out buttons for distribution. So far, I have had volunteers from NYC and Florida step up to distribute. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? It simply means you agree to hand them out to people wherever you are. It could mean leaving them in public places. It could mean getting together some small bowls, filling them up and placing them in coffee shops. I also encourage you to take pictures of where you are with the buttons. We will post them here and on Facebook. Let's get the movement toward civility rolling!
This evening was supported by an anonymous donation! Hooray! If you would like to help the project grow, make a donation. The Civility Project is not a non-profit agency. It is simply a showstring initiative of Susan Hensel Gallery, striving to spread the word about civil discourse. Soon I will post a page for financials so you can see how the dollars are spent. So far the project has raised $394. $300 went to providing tools and materials for launching the project.
